She married Pierre 'Peter' Claude Bowdoin circa 1674 at France. Traditions for where Pierre married, where his children were born and to whom his children were born vary between France and Boston. However, Pierre's request for land in Maine in 1687 show he transported "... himself and his family to these territories, being numbered six people having four little children...." Thus Pierre evidently married and the children were born overseas; family traditions state he first transported his entire family from France to Ireland but do not say which members were transported, thus it is assumed he married and his children were all born in France.
Elizabeth, Pierre, 2 sons and 2 daughters fled to Ireland before the French persecution began. Pierre is found living in Dublin, Ireland as of April 1, 1683. He owned a ship and came to America where his decendants became an important part of making this nation. The family can be traced to Alabama.
