On November 29, 1671, John Washington, then Lieutenant Colonel, bought the other half of this "moiety" for sixteen thousand pounds of tobacco of the said "Anthonie Bridges of ye Pish of Washington in ye County of Westmrland in ye Collony of Virginia, [Page 160] Mechnt, who Intermarried with Elyzabeth Rosier, Lawfull Daughter & Sole Heir & Legatee & named in ye last Will & Testament of Mr John Hyllyer als Bridges ye now wife of Antonie Bridges as alsoe Guardian of John Rosier ye Sonn of ye aforesaid Elyzabeth Rosyer."

Administration with the will annexe, was granted to Mrs. Elizabeth Bridges of the estate of Capt. Anthony Bridges and Elizabeth dyinge before administration was executed, the Courf doth order that administration of the estate of Elizabeth Bridges be granted to Mr. John Rosier and. Mr. Lewis Markham by consent, John Rosier being the only survivinge child of Elizabeth, and Mr. William Hardidg and Mr. Patrick. Spence ingage with the, administrators in, the somme of £1000 sterling-, and Mr. William Horton, Mr. Lawrence Washington, Mr. John Beard and Mr. Daniell White who were former appraysers of the estate of Elizabeth Also who are to be at the house of Mr. John Rosier 5 August next to make appraysment of what estate of Elizabeth shall be Produced to them An Inventory Of the estate of Capt. Antho. Bridges and appraysment thereon made was produced in court but because it Was alleaged against the inventory that it was not full but that either as paraphernalia or Othersways many goods to be inventories were left out, as also that the Court was inform'd that Elizabeth before :her death had disposed of some-goods contain'd in the inventory,,the Court doth order that,the administrators make disposition of the part of the estate but What is iri the inventory until a supplementall inventory be returned and allowed'in this Court'.
