Edward GREVILLE Notes: Lord of the Manor of Stratford Upon Avon. Became heir after accidentally fatally shooting his elder brother. An unscrupulous gentleman who nonetheless apparently possessed a great deal of charm. After his marriage in 1583, Greville spent his wife’s fortune, leaving her with little more than the clothes on her back. They had several daughters but their names do not seem to have been recorded.
