Elizabeth was born about 1605, in Malford, Worcestershire, England. Her parents were Jane Gibbs and Thomas Leids (Lide) (Lyde). Elizabeth married Nicholas Browne about 1630, probably at Worcestershire, England. Some sources say that Elizabeth's older sister, Jane, married the father of Elizabeth's husband, Nicholas Browne. Nicholas' father was Edward Browne.
Elizabeth and Nicholas had at least two children in England, and probably came to New England in 1635, arriving in Boston. They had a couple more children, either in England before they came to America, or possibly in Lynn, Massachusetts. Their last two children were born in Reading, Massachusetts, after they moved there. Nicholas was active in the government of Reading.
Elizabeth died in Reading on November 1, 1674. Her place of burial is unknown.
