Elizabeth, whom tradition states was Elizabeth Hunter, of Surry County, Virginia; but who might have been Elizabeth Symon (Simon or Symons). There were both a Symon and Symons in the early records of northeast North Carolina. More research might bring proof of her name. [E. W. DeHuff]
Elizabeth Hunter, of Surry County, Virginia was possibly daughter or sister of William Hunter, who was given a patent for 80 acres in Lynhaven Parish upon Little Creek in County of Lower Norfolk from Thorogoods to Fowler's plantaction [sic], land formerly Robert Hays' October 20, 1688. [Patent Bk. 7, Richmond, Virginia]. [E. W. DeHuff]
Note: Elizabeth Hunter married this Lewis Bryan. Please see notes at link:
The wife of Lewis Bryan, son of Edward Bryan and Christian Council was Ann (possibly Ann Bryan). She married Simon Herring after Edward's death.
