"After the death of his first wife, with whom he had one child, Robert Dundas Boyd, Archibald Boyd married Ann Scott, on 09 NOV 1777 in Prince George's County, Maryland. To this union were born three children:

1. Elizabeth Boyd, 1778 in Prince George's County, Maryland, who married Elias Boudinot Caldwell on Tuesday, January 31, 1803 in Washington City, District of Columbia, by the Revd. Mr. Balch. At the time of the marriage, Elias B.(Boudinot) Caldwell was a resident of Georgetown, District of Columbia, and Elizabeth Boyd was a resident of Washington City, District of Columbia, living with her mother, Ann Scott Boyd.

To this union were born 4 children, two boys and two girls;

  • Harriet Isabelle Caldwell, who married Robert Wright;
  • Anna Maria Caldwell;
  • Elias Boudinot Caldwell, Jr., and
  • one other son.

Elizabeth Boyd Caldwell died on Sunday morning, May 24, 1819 in Washington City, District of Columbia. She is buried with her husband in a cemetery in Washington, District of Columbia.
