Agnes Thweatt married Thomas Hardaway (c. 1715-1795), of Dinwiddie, the son of Thomas Hardaway and Jane Stith. The 1906 genealogy by S.E. Hubert, "Thomas Hardaway of Chesterfield Co. and his descendants" gives her name as Agnes Peterson. However the Bible record of this couple, in the possession of descendants in York, SC and copied by Laurence B. Gardiner, states that Thomas Hardaway and Agnes Thweatt were married 24 Dec. 1737. The birthdates for the following children are from the Bible. The marriages are from the records of Laurence B. Gardiner of Memphis. Tenn. The birth of the oldest child, Susan, also appears in the B.P.R.
