ELIZABETH DE BEAUCHAMP, married before 1336/7 (as his 2nd wife) THOMAS DE ASTLEY (or ASTELEY), Knt., of Astley, Bentley, and Weddington, Warwickshire, Broughton, Leicestershire, and Crick, Northamptonshire, son and heir of Giles de Astley, Knt., by Alice, 2nd daughter and co-heiress of Thomas de Wolvey, Knt., of Wolvey, Warwickshire. He was born in or before 1305. They had three sons, William, Knt., Thomas, Knt., and Giles. He was married previously to MARGARET ___, who was living 15 Jul 1334. They had no known issue. He was heir in 1325 to his uncle, Nicholas de Astley, 2nd Lord Astley. In 1338 he founded a chantry in Astley, Warwickshire, which, in 1343, he had sanction to change into a collegiate church. He was summoned to Parliament from 25 Feb. 1342/3 to 10 Mar 1349/50. SIR THOMAS DE ASTLEY, 3rd Lord Astley, was living 3 May 1366.

He married before 13 Dec. 1369 ELIZABETH DE HARCOURT, daughter and heiress of Richard de Harcourt, Knt., of Ellenhall, Staffordshire, by Joan, daughter of William de Shareshull, Knt., Chief Justice of the King's Bench, Chief Baron of the Exchequer [see HARCOURT 6.i. for her ancestry]. She was born about 1347/9 (aged 22 in 1369 and 21 in 1370). They had two sons, Thomas, Esq., and John, and 'one daughter, Elizabeth, wife of John Clay, Knt'. They were involved in a protracted series of lawsuits regarding the manor of Ellenhall, the reversion of which was awarded to them. His wife, Elizabeth, was living in 1383-84. SIR THOMAS DE ASTLEY died in 1399.
