Elizabeth Hyde was, baptized at Lebanon, Connecticut, 12 December 1703, the second daughter of Samuel Hyde and Elizabeth Calkins.
She was a granddaughter of Samuel Hyde the first, and Jane Lee of Norwich.
She married 16 January 1723, the Rev. Timothy Collins, the first minister of Litchfield, Connecticut. He was born 13 April 1699, at Guilford, Connecticut, the third son of John Collins and Anne Leete (a granddaughter of Gov. William Leete), of Guilford.
They had eight children.
