Elizabeth Crowninshield

Elizabeth (Allen) Crowninshield was born 17 August 1672 in Lynn, Essex, Province of Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Capt. Jacob Allen and Elizabeth Clifford and the sister of Rachel and Mary. The family resided near the Lynn Mineral Spring.

Per Cutter, she was baptized 6 March 1677. On 5 December 1694, she married Johann Kaspar "Dr. John" Crowninshield in Lynn. She had met him when he arrived at the family home in Lynn to treat her while she was ill. He proposed following her recovery.

The couple had five children:

1. John, b. 1696 - d. 1761; m. Anstiss Williams
2. Clifford, b. 1699 - d. 1776; m. Martha Hilliard; m. Christina Bray
3. Elizabeth, b. 1704
4. Mary, b. 1706
5. Richard, b. 1708 - d. 1744; m. Elizabeth Day

Elizabeth died in 1711 in Boston, Suffolk, Province of Massachusetts.
