THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 24 Dec 1981. 'Services for Mrs. Everett (Betty) Daniels of Rt.5, Paris, were held Thursday, 17 Dec in the Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. S.J. Newsome officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Daniels died Tuesday, 15 Dec 1981 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born 7 Nov 1895 in Atlas, a daughter of Fred and Amanda Freeman. She married Everett W. Daniel in 1915. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Nauphlet Daniel of Roxton and Leonard Daniel, Harold Daniel and Billy Daniel, all of Paris; one daughter, Dorothy Daniel of Paris, two sisters, Mrs. William VanMeter of Lubbock and Mrs. John Summers of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Morris Daniel in 1976 and a grandson, David Daniel, who died in Vietnam in 1967.'
