James Miles was:

• born in the parish of Llanfihangel Helygen, Radnorshire, Wales
• deed of June 1682 for 100 acres to be surveyed for him In Pennsylvania

Samuel (his son) and Margaret, his wife, had four children

• Samuel cam as a servant (pg. 2 of doc.)
  • both Samuel , the son, and James, the father had certificates of removal from Redstone MM in Llanfihangel Helygen.
• Samuel marries 25th dy, 4th mo., 1682 in Wales to Margaret James
• Samuel's will names children (but not all his children) Five are referred top by on the three eldest are named:
  • Phebe, Tamar, Ruth, and two w/o given names
    • of the two w/o names. one may be our Elizabeth Miles who married Thomas Davis But, other genealogies do not so indicate.
  • will dated 6-24-1707; proved 4-28-1708
• alternatively, Elizabeth Mikes may be a late daughter of the scion immigrant James Miles (top of page here)
