Elizabeth Dodson

Elizabeth Goad was born about 1705, Elizabeth's birth is not recorded in the parish records of North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. Elizabeth was the daughter of Abraham Goad and Katherine Williams.
Elizabeth married about 1724, John Dodson, son of Charles Dodson Sr. and Anne (maiden name unknown) of Richmond County, Virginia.
Elizabeth was named in the will of her husband John. John's will left the following: " to wife Elizabeth, all my personal estate during her life, at her death what remains of personal estate to son Peter Dodson . . . to son Peter Dodson, all my land and plantation whereon I now live containing 400 acres on the drains of Stony Creek, and said wife Elizabeth shall have her living and maintenance out of my said plantation during her life . . . to son Charles Dodson, the sum of 5 pounds current money in retalliation of the land to which he might have had a rsight and I do hereby utterly debar my son Charles Dotson his heirs from holding and possessing any part of my land forever . . . to daughter Elizabeth, married to John Coile [Kyle] and daughter Ann, married to Michael Callender, the sum of 30 shillings . . . Executor: son Peter Dodson . . . to be sole executor . . . Wits: Jacob Rinker, Jr., George Rinker, Henry Rinker . . ."
Elizabeth and John were the parents of the following children: Martha Ann Dodson, born 7th November 1725, Richmond County, Virginia; Charles Dodson, born 28th August 1726, Richmond County, Virginia; Moses Dodson, born 12th January 1729, Richmond County, Virginia and deceased before 1779; John Dodson Jr., born 12th August 1731 Richmond County, Virginia, and died 27th May 1734, Richmond County, Virginia; Peter Dodson, born 22nd May 1735, Richmond County, Virginia; and Elizabeth Dodson, born about or before 1741 in Augusta County, Virginia.
Elizabeth passed away in 1799.
