Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Vann

Birth: Sep. 27, 1815 Death: 1859

Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann McCutchen Vann, was the daughter of Joseph Wesley and Mary Tabitha Caruthers McCutchen. In the late 1830s, she married Azariah Vann, a son of Thomas Vann and Martha Buchanan Vann. The children of Eliza Ann and Azariah Vann were John C. Vann, Martha Vann, Joseph W. Vann, Thomas J. Vann, and Macklin Morris Vann. Macklin Morris Vann was the youngest of those children and born in 1846. By 1850, Eliza was a 34 year old widow and living next door to her parents in Jackson County. By 1860, Eliza was deceased, and three of her children, Joseph W., Thomas J., and Macklin Morris were living with their grandmother, Mary Tabitha Caruthers McCutchen. Son John C. Vann was married and living with his wife in Paint Rock. Daughter Martha was also deceased but no death information has been located.
