Origins
(1) Name of Edward Esty's wife: Gedcom uploads name Edward Estey's wife to be Elizabeth Stearns but it appears to have been assigned to her without support after her life. A search for vital records yields no authoritative information for this Last Name at Birth (LNAB). Also, no information could be found for her birth in a search of published Stearns family history (within time and locations that fit).
(2) In the family history source "Genealogy and Memoirs of Isaac Stearns and his Descendants" [1] she states that "Reverend Edward Esty's wife was Mary Stearns who was baptized 10 November 1706 and who m. Dr. Edward Esty of Stoughton in 1729 and they had fourteen children". The Stoughton vital records document that the mother of Edward's children was Elizabeth so Mary may have been his 2nd wife.
Birth, Marriage & Children
Based upon the year of her first child's birth Elizabeth (unknown) was probably born about 1698 which makes her about five years younger than her husband.
Since she is documented as being the mother of his children it's probably safe to assume she married the Reverend Edward Esty.
Elizabeth, b. ? ; d. 26 Jan 1738, Stoughton, MA. [Endicott: Stoughton VRs, p.36 (deaths)]
She would have passed away either during or after 1738. The Stoughton Vital Records, Deaths, show there was a killing sickness in Stoughton during 1738, possibly strep-throat.
