- f A later hand says "Ales Nevell maryed 2 Sir Gylbert Lancaster" (Vincent, p. 587). Her son Gilbert Lancaster married a daughter of Sir Thomas Horton, Knight. See Hodgson's 'Northumberland," II., Part ii., p. 230.

Sir Gerard Widdrington, son and heir of Roger and Elizabeth Grey, was living in 1490, but is said to have left no issue by his wife Margaret, daughter of Christopher Boynton of Sedbury, named on page 34 of this Work. These children may be those of Gerard, son of Sir John, but not by is grandmother's sister, who was also widow of his great uncle Gerard.
