About Elizabeth Folsom

  • Do not confuse with the same named other wife of the same spouse.

Not the same as the Elizabeth Smiths legit wife, also a wife of Ebenezer. We know that because Ca[t Isreall's -half and the-legit brother, Nathaniel Folsom could have just paid the debt had he inherited as first born with all his combined inheritance; but,Nathaniel and the other boys ( half siblings of Daniel) would have had legitimate claim as legitimate children, but they did not pay. Nathaniel's half brother, Capt Isreal Folsom, paid as highest bidder what he could not have legitimately and bought the farm that had been a lien to help in Rev War efforts. He was willed a negro named Simon, though. Nathaniel's legitimate dad, Col. Ebenezer's estate had to settle a lien and that is why the land was auctioned in the first place. probated in Cumberland Co., NC; auctioned on 6 Dec. 1799, of which five tracts totalled 1444 acres sold at auction to satisfy a claim of £166.15.6, with interest. Capt Israel Folsom, being the highest bidder paid £325 for the land with "the appurtenances." (Cumberland County Records, Vol. 18, p. 99.). Capt Israel didn't PAY the debt but by BUYING the land at 44 years old, the money went to pay the creditors. If married three times, then this is true:

a)first, an Isreal Folsom is the dad of Sophia Folsom with Miss N.Tehani (That's OK Choctaw Nation).

b)had Rev Isreal with Miss Tehani too as well as Sophia. (OK Choctaw Nation) Md Tehini in 1756 (Nathaniel's mom is Ms Daniel and Nathaniel is my DA).

c ) For sure Capt Isreal Folsom Md. Miss Daniel til 1777, Isreal's step-mom, Nathaniel's mom. (DA to both, it's like when a step siblings marru)

Nathaniel's will mentions illegitimate half brother, Isreal, his half brother from Ms Daniels, the half brother who saved the farm....and that Isreal got the biggest chunk of his property - - via an auction.
