Biography
Elizabeth Belcher (1632-1682), daughter of Gregory and Catharine Belcher of Braintree, Massachusetts, married Josiah Gilbert (1628-1688) about 1651. Elizabeth and Josiah lived at Wethersfleld, Connecticut for a few years after their marriage, and then removed to Westchester, New York where they remained for six or seven years. They returned to Wethersfleld about 1662, living there until each passed away.
