Elizabeth Hollingworth

Research by Ursula Mary Latham (nee Bratt) identifies Elizabeth as wife of Joseph Fergus Frost Hollingworth and gives her maiden name and date for their marriage, stating that it took place at Manchester Cathedral. This research also provides a year of birth (1840) and death (1917).

The 1881 Census (see media) says she is 39, which would give a birth year of 1842. It gives her place of birth as Manchester and her occupation charwoman. Her 14 year old daugher Mary A, who was born in Manchester, is nurse to the children, named as Sarah A (11) a scholar, also born in Manchester, John F (9) born in Salford, Alice (6) born in Bradford, Maria (4) born in Manchester, and Emma (1) born in Manchester.
