age 76 yrs Inscription on a red sandstone in the old cemetery at Wallingford: Here lieth ye Body of Elizabeth ye Wife of Joseph Holt. She departed this Life November ye 18, 1739 in the 76th year of her age.

The daughter of FRANCES & LYDIA (BUNNELL) FRENCH, Elizabeth was born June 20, 1664, probably in Derby. She married Joseph Holt on Nov. 20, 1684 and was widowed at 33 years of age.
