KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that wee ELIZA: HINKLEY. C: PRIDHAM & WM: NASH of County of Richmond are held and firmly bound unto his Majties: Justices of the Peace for sd. County in the full and just sum of One hundd. pounds Siva to the which payment well and truely to be made wee bind cur selves our heirsfirmly by these presents; Sealed with our seals and dated ye first day of March 1726
THE CONDICON of this obligaecon is such that if the above bound ELIZA: HINKLEY, Admrx, of all the goods chattles and creditts of EDWD: HINKLEY, deced., do make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all the goods chattles and creditts of the deced.. and the same so made do exhibite into the County Court of Richmond at such time as she shall be thereunto required by the Court, and the same goods chattles and creditts do well and truely administer according to Law, and further do make a true and just. 44;count of her actings and doings therein when thereunto required by the Court
and shall deliver and pay to such person or persons respectively as the Justices shall direct by their order or judgment pursuant to the Laws in that case made and provided; And if it shall afterwards appear that any Last Will and Testament was made by the deced,, And the Exr. or Exrs. therein named do exhibite the same in Court makeing request to have it allowed and approved, accordingly if ELIZA: HINKLEY being thereunto required do render and deliver up her Lres. of Admon. approbacon of such Testament being first had and made in the Court; Then this obligacon to be void and of none effect otherwise to remaine in full force and vertue

THIS INDENTURE made the Thirtieth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred Twenty and eight by and Between MOSES HOPWOOD and ELIZABETH his Wife of Pish of Northfarnham in Richmond County of one part and THOMAS ASTBERRY of the Pish of Cople in WESTMORELAND County of other part; Witnesseth that MOSES HOPWOOD and ELIZABETH his Wife in consideracon of the sum of Nine thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobacco in casque to them in hand already paid by THOMAS ASTBURY, the receipt whereof they doth hereby acknowledge, and for divers other good and valuable causes and consideracons them thereunto moving, hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto THOMAS ASTBURY his heirs all that parcel of land containing by estimacon Two hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less excepting Ten square feet where one EDWARD HINKLEY now lyes buryed, who was formerly owner of the land, the two hundred and fifty acres of land was purchased by EDWARD HINKLEY of one JOHN MORPHEW and MARY his Wife as appears by Deeds from JOHN MORPHEW and MARY his Wife dated the Second and Third days of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred twenty and four; and said EDWARD made no disposition thereof in his life nor left any heir, whereupon ELIZABETH HOPWOOD, party to these presents, obtained the same by Escheat as by a Deed from the Honble. the Proprietors dated the 30 day of January in the year of our Lord 1727; the two hundred and fifty acres of land scituate in Pish of Northfarnham and County aforesaid about half a mile back of the Maine Run. of RAPPAHANOCK CREEK and bounded; Beginning at a Spanish Oak in the line of Colo. WILLIAM PEIRCE and extends from thence S. 10d, West 100 poles to a Stake by a marked white Oak near a Branch side and from thence E: by S. 320 poles to a red Oak in said Collo. PEIRCEs line and from thence along PEIRCEs line N: by E: 100 poles to the placc it began, surveyed for Two hundred acres by WM. MOSELEY in the year 1663 for RICHARD WOOD, also one hundred acres of land purchasded of WILLIAM LOYD by one GRIFFIN CARTER of thio County by
Deed dated the 6th of August 1689 and acknowledged in Richmond County Court in December following and by GRIFFIN CARTER sold and acknowledged the 3d of February 1696 to RICHARD WOOD his heirs, the one hundred acres of land is part of a Patent of 1300 acres taking its beginning upon the corner tree of the other two hundred acres that is next to Coll. STONES in PEIRCEs line and taking for breadth on PEIRCEs line S. W. (blank) degrees W: the just breadth of one hundred acres and bounding on the line of the two hundred acres a full mile by a Just Survey, the whole quantity is two hundred and fifty acres of land; Together with all rights members and appurtenances to the same belonging; To have and to hold the parcell of land containing Two hundred and fifty acres with all houses orchards priviledges and appurtenances belonging to THOMAS ASTBURY his heirs; And said MOSES and ELIZABETH for themselves their heirs &c. the two hundred and fifty acres of land (except as before excepted) with all premises hereby granted against the claime of any person shall warrant and forever defend by these presents; In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto sett their hands and seals the day and year first above written
