Elizabeth Motte, born 21st August, 1780, married
Samuel Jackson, J of Catherine Hall, a Member of the Council and Attorney General of Jamaica, their marriage taking place 14th May, 1796. This Jackson family was — none there in 1883 — one of the oldest on the Island, having possessed for centuries land granted by the Crown. The family represented that of the Loyal Archbishop Juxon — of the time of Charles the First, — and possesses several interesting relics of that Prelate.
