Elizabeth "Eliza" Jane Bond (b. 10 March 1837; d. 20 June 1906) was the daughter of John Rowsey Bond and Milla Millie Smith Bond.
She first m. William Walker Fitts (b. 1842 in Madison County, GA) and second m. James G. Berry Whitworth (b. 1847 in Madison County, GA)
William Walker Fitts volunteered for service 14 May 1862 in the 16th Georgia Infantry Regiment, Company D which was organized at Danielsville, Madison County, GA. He was killed on the battlefield at Spotsylvania Courthouse, Spotsylvania VA 12 May 1864.
Eliza and Wm Walker Fitts had one child, John Franklin Fitts (b. 5 Mar. 1861 Madison County GA). By the time he was 18 months old, he was deaf (a result of illness)and shortly after his 3rd birthday, he lost his father to the war.
After William Walker Fitts' death, Eliza married James G. Berry Whitworth. They had at least two children including James S (b: 1875 in Madison Co, GA) and William Asbury Whitworth (b: 7 DEC 1870 in Madison Co, GA)
