According to her death certificate, she died of a stroke at 84 years old. Funeral services were held at St. Rita's church on Saturday, for Mrs. Elizabeth Vorderer, 84 years old, who died July 30 of a stroke suffered at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Caroline Hilfinger, 6213 S. Albany. Born in Oldenburg, Germany, Mrs. Vorderer came to Chicago when she was 16 years old, and lived in the community for 25 years. Until she moved to Mrs. Hilfinger's home after becoming ill four months ago, she had lived with a second daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Michlovich, 6051 S. Whipple, Mrs. Vorderer was a member of St. Augustine Branch 792, L.C.B.A., and St. Suzanna Court, C.O.O.F. Besides her daughters, she leaves four sons, Henry B., Joseph, John, and Lawrence, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
