Mrs. Lizzie M. Koser, 65, wife of Henry Koser, was found dead late on Monday morning at a farm on Richland R.F.D. No. 1, where she lived with her husband and their son, Henry Koser and family. The younger Kosers work at a Richland shoe factory and were at their daily employment at the time; their only child, a daughter, Helen, was at school and the elder Koser was absent from home for the morning on a business errand.
Henry Saul, a neighbor residing about a square from the Koser home, while driving by the latter place in an automobile, saw the woman lying near a wash-line on which the family washing had been freshly hung, and uncertain what to do, he hurried to the home of Walter Fertig, the next nearest neighbor. Mrs. Fertig eventually got into communication with the son and daughter-in-law at Richland, and the latter hurried home to find their worst fears were true. The mother was dead.
Dr. John D. Boger, the county coroner, was summoned. He diagnosed it a case of heart attack, and expressed the opinion that it had come under natural conditions, and issued a certificate of death to that effect. The body was released to a Lancaster county undertaker.
The Kosers moved to the farm from Lancaster County only in February of last years. They are of Dunkard religious persuasion. In addition to the son already named, the mother leaves another son, Isaac, of Lancaster County.
