Notes

There are two possible wifes for Isaac Lamb: Elizabeth Hemstead and Elizabeth Usher.
Notes from Delinger:
"Mrs Wozniak says her name not Hempstead. Elizabeth joined Baptist Church Norwich 1710. Her will proved 2 Jul 1723. New England marriages prior to 1700 says Isaac's wife Elizabeth was b. 1695 or 1692. Cd 100 says Isaac was of New London, Conn. & was the son of Daniel Lamb. It also said Elizabeth was born About 1670, but had no last name for her.

"LAMB/HEMPSTEAD Connections: First of all, the U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE RECORDS, 1560-1900 are not "historical," nor are they formal "records;" they are a body of data sold to Ancestry.com by a Genealogist. The notion that Isaac LAMB married Elizabeth HEMPSTEAD is about 125 years old, and grew around the speculations of LAMB/STARK family researchers; about the surname of Isaac's wife Elizabeth.
"Bottom line, Elizabeth HEMPSTEAD, daughter of Joshua and Elizabeth Larrabee HEMPSTEAD had been married to John PLUMBE for 6 years (and borne three children...all facts supported by New London Vital Records) by the time Isaac LAMB arrived in New London County with his wife Elizabeth and daughter Experience, in 1696."

"Claims by LAMB family descendants that Elizabeth Hempstead (Daughter of Joshua & Elizabeth Larrabee Hempstead, 25 Dec 1672-19 Sept 1733) married their ancestor Isaac are unworthy of consideration, as they are speculative, long dismissed by serious researchers, and not supported by a single historical record."
