Mrs. Lizzie Crews Harris, member of a prominent Granville family and widow of the late Benjamin Thomas Harris passed away at age 64 in her home in Creedmoor. Mrs. Harris had been ill for about 12 months. Death was attributed to a complication of diseases.
Mrs. Harris was born near the Tar River, the daughter of David Crews and Louisa Fleming Crews. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church until her death. Her husband and her eldest son William preceded her in death by 15 years, but she was survived by two sons Thomas and Roy, three daughters Lillian, Estell and Lucille, four brothers (Edgar, Luther, James Young and Claude Fleming Crews), two sisters and five grandchildren.
