Elizabeth Mayo

Biography

Elizabeth Mayo was born on 01 May 1702 in Eastham, Barnstable, Province of Massachusetts Bay, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Higgins) Mayo.[1][2]

She married, as his third wife, Joseph Paddock on 29 November 1739 at Eastham, the son of John and Priscilla (Hall) Paddock born 8 March 1700 at Yarmouth. Joseph died after 1743.

Joseph's first wife was Reliance Stone, born 26 Apr 1703, possible daughter of Nathaniel and Reliance (Hinckley) Stone. They married 17 Mar 1725/6 at Harwich. Joseph's second wife was Margaret Crosby, after intentions at Yarmouth 17 Oct 1735. Margaret was born 4 Feb 1701/2 at Yarmouth, possibly daughter of Joseph and Mehitable (Miller) Crosby.[2]

Elizabeth's and Joseph's death information is unknown; no probate or death records found in Barnstable or Plymouth county probate records.[2]
