Subject of Wife of John Parker b. abt 1680 or later d. 1760 Hampshire Co VA Message 1 of 1 , Oct 21, 2005 We, as Parker descendants, have seen in many submissions to genealogy sites, the use of then name of "Elizabeth Taliaferro" as the wife of John Parker who was born about 1680 or later, and who died in Hampshire Co VA in Nov. 1760.
He left a will naming his wife as only "Elizabeth" and also named his six children -Richard, Elizabeth, Robert, Catherine, Nathanial, and Aaron and one grandson Thomas Parker to share equally with his children in his estate.
We are looking for anyone who can add info to or dispute this statement that Elizabeth Taliaferro, dtr of a Robert Taliaferro, was the woman whom John Parker married.
His wife is also seen in sites with maiden name of TANDY, BOND, GILES, and possibly one of two more surnames.
Thanks -Jim ( James Campbell Parker) 5th great grandson of John and "Elizabeth" Parker thru their son Robert and his wife Hannah Peters.
