"Although there is no proof that Elizabeth Moor(e) was Josiah Miles’ wife, the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. In 1742, when Josiah Miles married Elizabeth, there were no other men living in Canterbury with a daughter named Elizabeth who was born in 1724...only John Moore’s daughter, Elizabeth Moore. Elizabeth had a brother Archelaus and the first son of Josiah MIles and Elizabeth was also named Archelaus."
