Obituary Notice from the Macclesfield Courier and Herald: June 1851: On the 1st inst. in the 67th year of her age, Elizabeth the beloved wife of John Malbon Esq. of Dane Bank, Congleton, after a long and painful illness which she bore with exemplary fortitude and resignation.

Memorial Inscription for St. Peter's Congleton: On the south side of the tomb of Ralph Malbon, schoolmaster, and family: In memory of Elizabeth wife of John Malbon, esq. of Dane Bank who departed this life June 1st 1851 aged 67 also the aforesaid John Malbon Esquire who died June 24th 1851 aged 77 years.
