About Elizabeth Montgomery
The children of John Montgomery and Martha Finley (JMMF) of Pennsylvania are as follows:
Joseph Montgomery (b. 1733, PA, very shortly after his parents arrived from Ireland). The most famous of all the children in these groups, he lead a distinguished life as a preacher, teacher, and delegate to the Constitutional Convention. When looking for information on children of these families, this man is the one most often found and much detailed. He married Elizabeth Reed and Rachel Rush. He is the well-known “Rev Joseph Montgomery”. His counterpart Joseph is virtually unknown and was not likely a church officer.
