About Elizabeth Moodie
ELIZABETH MOODIE
Elizabeth Moodie is not noticed in The Moodie Book but she is undoubtedly the daughter of William Moodie of Melsetter. NRS: CS228/M/2/47/2 The name of her mother is not certainly known but it seems quite likely, probable even, given her dispute with John Stewart of Brugh in 1722, that she is a daughter of Barbara Stewart. If this is correct then she would have been born after 23 November 1670, the date upon which her father was booked to marry Barbara Stewart.
