About Elizabeth Neligan
Elizabeth or as she was called Eliza was born in New Street Doneraile co Cork, Eliza and her sister Anne both became part of the Earl Grey female orphan emigration scheme from Ireland to Australia. Eliza arrived on board the Pemberton while her sister Anne traveled on a different ship the Marion.
After arrival Eliza married the Italian born sailmaker Joseph Midolo on 7 December 1851 in Australia the couple had 10 children.
Eliza died on the 31st March 1874 of a acute kidney infection, her husband Joseph died 7 May 1884
