Elizabeth "Lucy" Nunn

She might be a descendant of John Clayton and Elizabeth Citterne.

Lucy was born in New Kent County, Virginia, 29 September 1758. She and James Nunn were married in Virginia before moving to Granville County, North Carolina. She and James had three children: Thomas Asbury Nunn, Mary "Polly" Nunn, and Elizabeth "Betsey" Nunn.

According to Ken McCormick (kmc) James Nunn died 9 January 1786 in Virginia. Lucy then married William Byars 26 July1790 in Granville County, NC. The date of her death is not known.

1804 February 8: Benjamin Hoofman and wife Betsey gave to William Byars and his wife Lucy (mother of said Betsey Hoofman) all our rights in estate of Thomas Clayton, grandfather of Betsey Hoofman, and also all our right in estate of James Nunn, father of Betsey Hoofman. (Gwynn, Wills-I, p 274
