The will of Dame Elizabeth (Tresham), Lady Morley/ Monteagle exists, and is dated 1648 [PROB 11/203/312]. It mainly mentions Morleys and Savages, but does give to "Mrs Cranfield," and twice to "Mrs Merrill Cranfield"
In the name of God Amen ...that I Dame Elizabeth Morely being in my perfect memory though
at this present time visited with bodily infirmities doe bequeath my soul unto the handes of
my blessed saviour Jesus Christ ..my body to be buried in Collingley Church. Item
I doe bequeth to my grandchild Thomas Parker towards his maintenance 40 pounds. Item to
my grandchild the Lady Jane Savage 20 pounds. Item to Margery Tarkson 5 pounds. Item to Sir
