About Elizabeth Thompson, Free Settler "Parkfield" 1841
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Slennett-28
Elizabeth was born in 1817. She was the daughter of John Slennett and Mary Higgs.
She came to Western Australia with her husband Charles and children on the Parkfield, arriving on 19 March 1841.[1]
Her husband died in Bunbury in 1854 and the following year, on 27 July, Elizabeth married Henry Thompson in Bunbury.[2][1]
Elizabeth died in Bunbury on 2 June 1885.[3]
I regret to have to record the death of another old resident, Mrs. Henry Thompson, who has been associated with Bunbury almost from its first settlement. The deceased lady had been ailing for some considerable time, and having reached a good old age her death was not unexpected. The funeral was largely attended. It is a strange coincidence that during the last month three of our oldest residents, and three who arrived in this colony by the same ship, viz., Mr. Clifton, Mrs. Stallard, and Mrs. Thompson should have been called away.[4]
