Raushenbush-Brandeis taught economics for 42 years at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, retiring in 1966. Her husband, Paul, who died in 1980, was secretary of the Wisconsin Unemployment Compensation Division. Her father served on the US Supreme Court from 1916-1939, and died in 1941.

Assistant Secretary, then Secretary of the Minimum Wage Board, Washington D.C., 1919-1923. Successively assistant instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, and professor at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, 1924- . Member, Wisconsin Migrant Commission, 1953- ; Chairman, Governor's Commission on Migratory Labor; member, National Consumers' League and League of Women Voters; member, State Board, Wisconsin League of Women Voters, 1950-1954, 1956-1958.

Died on April 30, 1984 in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, United States

The Sunday Star publication, from Washington DC, included the following news in its issue of January 14, 1917: “Word has been received from Boston that two young Washington women have won grades at Radcliffe College. Miss Elizabeth Brandeis, daughter of a Justice of the Supreme Court, is one of the fine juniors to rank with the ‘very high academic distinction,’ and Miss Eva B. Dykes is one of the seniors who has ranked with ‘marked excellence.’”
