About Elizabeth Richardson
GEDCOM Note
Elizabeth Richardson ELIZABETH RICHARDSON was born in Saffron Walden c.1806. In 1851 she was unmarried and living with her parents, employed as a tailoress. It would appear that she had an illegitimate son; 1. ALFRED RICHARDSON, born Saffron Walden in December 1824. He was living with his mother and grandparents until 1851. In 1861 Alfred was a widow, living at 46 Ryland St North, Birmingham, where he was employed as a baker. Lodging with him is listed a James Osborne, a nephew. This was the son of Emma Osborne, nee Richardson. Alfred has not been identified on the 1871 census, but by 1881 he had re-married * as he was living with his wife ESTHER (born Worcestershire c.1825) at 2 Minerva St, Bethnal Green; his occupation is given as cocoa makers labourer. * Two possible matches for a marriage; Alfred Richardson to Esther Coleman, Birmingham 4/1861 (6d 629). Alfred Richardson to Esther Higgitt, Aston 2/1880 (6d 202).
