Elizabeth Nash was the daughter of James and Ann Nash.

She married in 1856 to Capt. John Sedcole at St Peters church, Wellington.

Six children were born during their marriage.

John passed away in 1871 and Elizabeth returned to Foxton with the children.

She remarried in 1872 to widower, James Shennen and had 2 children during their marriage, Ella Elizabeth and Ellen Louisa (Nell). Elizabeth and James later separated.

Elizabeth passed away in 1901 at Levin and is buried at Old Levin Cemetery.
