Elizabeth Seymour

• Elizabeth Champernowne was the daughter of Arthur Champernowne & Mary Norris.
• On the 19th September 1576 she married Sir Edward Seymour. They had eleven children [from their memorial inscription] but only the names of the nine surviving children are known; Bridget, Edward, John, Richard, Mary, Elizabeth, Amy, Walter & William. These children are all depicted as little statues at the bottom of their parents memorial at Berry Pomeroy. The two children who died very young are also shown as a small baby and a toddler in a chair.
