About Elizabeth Westfall

Elizabeth Poage, Westfall was the wife of Isaac Westfall Sr., and the mother of 7 known children and they are; 1. Thomas W. Westfall, Born 1790 VA. Died 1845 in Harrison Township, Knox Co., IN 2. Abraham Westfall Jr. Born 1792 VA. 3. Sarah Westfall, Hudson Born 22 March, 1795 VA . 4. Isaac Westfall Jr. Born 1801 Knox Co., IN 5. Abel Westfall Born 1803, Knox Co., IN Died prior to 5 Sept., 1873 Knox Co., IN 6. Myranda Westfall Born 11 July, 1806 Knox Co., IN 7. Joanna Westfall, Steele Born 1810 Knox Co., IN Isaac & Elizabeth Westfall Sr. were members of the Indiana Presbyterian Church from its very beginning which is located in what is now Harrison Township, Knox Co., IN. They were listed in the Membership Rolls and their Deaths were noted in the Records of the Church, see Book “Minuets of the Session of the Indiana Church, 1812-1842” Isaac Westfall was listed Deceased in Oct., 1828 (page 10) , Elizabeth was listed as a living member in that same list, she was later listed as deceased in a list dated 22 April 1839 (page 31) and by virtue of their Association with the Church, it is not unreasonable to think that this is also where they were buried. I would like to add that since Isaac Westfall Sr. was deceased by the 1830 Census, and Elizabeth was left as his Legal Heir, if she had indeed remained alive in 1830, she would have been listed as Head of Household, which she was not, and do to the fact that the remaining 150 acres of Isaac & Elizabeth Westfall's Home place property in #112 Palmyra/Steen Township, Knox Co., IN was sold by the Legal Heirs and Representatives of Isaac Westfall Sr., in 1830 & 1833, it is to be assumed that she had indeed passed away by the year of 1830. 1829 being the final year that she was known to be alive.

Gregory Allan Westfall, 6th Great Grandson of Isaac & Elizabeth Poage, Westfall Sr.* Reference: [https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/187687540/elizabeth-westfall Find A Grave Memorial] - [https://www.geni.com/projects/SmartCopy/18783 SmartCopy]: ''Oct 12 2021, 19:21:53 UTC''
