"16 JOSHUA WHEAT {Joshua', Moses') born at Groton, Mass. but date not found; died Mar. 2, 1762 "at Mr. Jonathan Huntting's" at Needham, Mass. (Records of the First Church) .
Joshuay Wheat and Elesebeth Edey (or Eddy), both of Watertown, married Feb. 5, 1719. (Medford, Mass. VR). She was born July 29, 1703, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Woodward) Eddy of Watertown. He was a physician; in 1726 as of Weston he signed with other heirs of his father but his name has not been found on any other deed, and there is no evidence that he received any part of his father's estate except his portion of the £63 from the will of his aunt Abigail Brown.
In 1729 they removed to Needham but were "warned out" and again from Worcester in the August term 1735 (Worcester Town Records, 132) . He continued to be unfortunate. Dr. Joshua Wheat, wife Elizabeth and 4 children warned to depart out of Westborough, May term 1737 (Court of
General Sessions, p. 182) Joshua, wife and children warned from Southborough, Aug. 16, 1737 (Worcester Co. Warnings, p. 66, edited by Blake, 1899)."[1]
