- One of 8 children of Isaac DuBose & Susan Couillandeau of French Hugenot descent. Both were born in France & immigrated to America in about 1686. The thought has been offered that Elizabeth & two of her siblings were smuggled out of France in wine casks to avoid persecution. Her lineage can be traced to the 1500s.There is no proof she is buried in the cemetery other than knowledge her husband's family was involved in the founding of the cemetery and some descendants are buried in it.
