Elizabeth de Marney

Elizabeth Sergeaux was born in 1378 in Cornwall, England. Elizabeth's father was Richard Sergeaux and her mother was Phillippa FitzAlan. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Sergeaux and Margaret Seneschal; her maternal grandparents were Edmund Fitzalan and Sybil Montagu. She had two sisters named Phillippa and Alice.

Elizabeth married Sir William de Marney, Sheriff of Essex and Hertford. He was the son of Sir Robert de Marney and wife Alice de Lacer. Five known children:

• Sir Thomas de Marney, Knight, died in 1429.
• William de Marney, who died before his father and left no heirs.
• Sir John de Marney, who married Joan Throgmorton of Goucestershire, widow of Robert Gifford.
• Anne de Marney, who married Thomas Tyrell of Heron.
• Ellen de Marney.
