About Ella Flesch
SINGER ELLA FLESCH DIES NEW YORK. June 7 (AP) Ella Flesch, Hungarian-born dramatic soprano and former member of the Metropolitan Opera, died yesterday at her home. She was born in Budapest in 1902. She was for many years a member of the Vienna and Munich Opera Companies. She fled from the Hitler regime to Prague, and from there came to the United States in 1939. She was a niece of the late Karl Flesch, a noted violinist, and cousin of Rudolph Flesch, the author.
