MEMORIAL PHOTOS 0 FLOWERS 1 CYCLONE, WV - Ella Jean Lusk Shields, 66, of Cyclone, departed this life Saturday, December 13, 2008, in Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Born June 18, 1942, in Cyclone, she was a daughter of the late Arvil Kester "Boots" Lusk (1915-2005) and Ettie Pearl Osborne-Lusk (1919-Deceased). Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Carroll Lusk (1936-Deceased); her second husband, Carlton Shields (1927-2006), and a sister, Shirley Lusk (Deceased).

Ella was a homemaker and a member of the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening camping, canning food and feeding the birds. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Carroll Gene Lusk & wife Ruby Lusk and Rodney Arvil Lusk (1971-2018) & wife Anita Kay Morgan-Lusk, both of Cyclone, and Wendy Lee Lusk (B. 1965) & wife Deborah "Debbie" A. Ford-Lusk (B. 1968) of NC; two brothers, Elmer "Lanta" Lusk (B. 1939) & wife Donna Christine Cook-Lusk (B. 1943) of Cyclone and Wendell Grady Lusk (1941-2014) of Daniels; a sister, Jackie J. Lusk-Helmandollar (B. 1952) & husband Russell Lee Helmandollar (B. 1953) of Cyclone; five grandchildren, Leslee Lusk, Rebecca Lusk, Zack Lusk, April Whitlock and Kortni Lusk; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jasmyn Day; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

A celebration of Ella's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church at Cyclone with Rev. Jackie Lusk officiating. Ella will be laid to rest by her husband, Carlton Shields, in the Brown Cemetery at Cyclone.
