Ellen Carew born about 1719-1720 m. after 1738 to Christmas Paul of Carlow. (1)

Jeffrey Paul, Esq. This gentleman was returned to parliament by the co. of Carlow from 1725 until his decease. He m. in 1708, Elizabeth, only dau. of Richard Christmas, Esq. of Whitfield, co. Waterford, M.P. for the city of Waterford, by whom he had issue:

his eldest surviving son, Christmas Paul, Esq. of Paulville, co. Carlow, who m. Ellen, dau. of Robert Carew, Esq., M.P., of Callynamona, CO. Waterford, and Castleboro', in the co. of Wexford, by whom he had four sons and three daus., viz.,

• Joshua, his heir.
• Robert, ban-ister-at-Iaw, J.P., m Urith, dau. of Darius Drake, Esq. of Complin. Jeffery, an officer in the anny ; d. unm.
• Christmas, capt. R.N.
• Elizabeth, m. to Henry Wallis, Esq. of Westwood, co. Cork.
• Ellen, m. to the Rev. Henry Connor, of Williamstown, co.Waterford.
• Susanna, m. to James Anderson, Esq. of Gracedieu.

Although I cannot find any confirmation that Julianna was the daughter of Peter Carew of Cork I can confirm that she was not the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Shapland) Carew who married in 1710. This couple had Robert (born about 1711 who died without issue); Shapland Carew who was born in 1716 and married Dorothy Dobson; Thomas Carew born in 1718 married Elizabeth May; and Ellen Carew born about 1719 who married Christmas Paul after 1739.
