Elmer Clarence Cable

I knew Elmer Clarence Cable well from childhood (I was born in 1949) until Elmer's death in 1993. In fact, I was a minister and I myself officiated Elmer's funeral. I also knew two of Elmer's brothers well, namely, Raymond Ellis Cable and William Claude Cable. Barton Cable died in 1913 as a young boy. I also knew Newton Americus "Dick" Jenkins, Elmer's half brother, and I was reared by my grandmother, Maude Almeda Jenkins, Elmer's half sister.

THERE IS NO BROTHER NAMED JAMES CLYDE CABLE. If there was such a brother, I never heard his name nor did I ever visit a grave with that name during the times that my family visited old cemeteries.

Elmer Clarence Cable and wife Leona Mills had NO children
Raymond Ellis Cable and wife Mary Welch had NO children
William Claude Cable and wife Mary Jane Hall had ONE child, Norma Lee Cable (dau)
Newton Americus "Dick" or "Newtie" Jenkins and his first wife Mary Cable had two daughers named Irene and Virginia Jenkins.
My grandmother Maude Almeda Jenkins and her husband John Phillip Calhoun had five children, 4 daughers Geneva Dora, Nina Almeda, Glenna Maggie (twin) and Lenna Susan (twin--and my mother who married Paul K Rickett). Their son was Kenneth Abram "Buster" Calhoun.
I might add that the father of Maude Almeda Jenkins (Calhoun) and Newton Americus Jenkins has been and is presently UNKNOWN. They were never told by their mother who was their father.
