ELMER OLSON PLANKINTON — Funeral services for Elmer Olson, 76, rural Plankinton, will be Thursday at Milliken Funeral Home in Mitchell. The Rev. L.S, Gjerte will officiate with burial in Victor Lutheran Cemetery north of Mt Vemon. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Milliken Funeral Home. The family prefers memorials. Mr. Olson was born Nov. 14, 1900 at Mt Vemon to Mr and Mrs Oscar Olson. He married Viola Heintz at M. Vernon on Feb. 17, 1945. He died Feb. 28 at Storla Nursing Home. Survivors Include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Alma Wolbrink of M. Vernon; five brothers; Harvey, Leonard and Ivan of Donna, Tex., Oliver of Alamo. Tex., and Orian of Mercedes, Tex.; two sisters, Dora Lively of Tyler, Tex. And Mr. Laura Henderson, Edinburg, Tex. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Buried at Victor Lutheran Cemetery in Blendon Twp, Davison County, SD in Loc 23. Cemetery is located 7 1/2 miles north and 2 miles west of Mt. Vernon. The Victor Lutheran church is the "Mother" Church in the area organized in 1884. In 1894 the congregation split and the Trinity and Immanuel Lutheran churches were formed. Victor Lutheran Church closed in 197? and the records are with the Salem Lutheran Church in Mt. Vernon.
